G’morning, my loves, happy Saturday morning! Is it a sunny morning for you? 😀
I know summer means lazier days ( I still can’t believe it’s June, wtf), so I wanted to remind you, have you tried out my totally lazy, inexpensive and Weird, Balloon Curling hack from a few weeks ago? If you missed it, where were you?
I went and experimented with some balloons, so we could try out another heatless curls method! Contrary to what some of you might think after watching the hair tutorial video, it does not cause static ( we’re doing this method on damp hair, remember?), and the balloons will not pop while you sleep (ever try to pop a balloon that’s barely inflated? It’s nearly impossible, unless you use pins to pop them!), although it DOES sound totally comical (haha)… Now, I will admit that the balloons do squeak sometimes when you move, and it might be dangerous to have a cat near by while you sleep… 😀
Originally, I had this AWESOME idea of using clown balloons ( no idea what they’re called — the long ones, see below image)… You see this guy with the balloons on his head? I had SO many inspirations (AKA CRAZY ideas), so I promptly ordered some on Amazon, and waited agonizingly for them. I didn’t even test it before filming the actual tutorial, because who can’t blow up a balloon, right?
Then I found out the truth. Those damn clowns! They made it look so easy when they did it, but OMG, you guys… I huffed and puffed for literally 30 minutes (my eyes were turning so red from all my huffing too, did you notice?), and I could not inflate them in the SLIGHTEST! I even made my husband try it. When everything failed, he and I watched a few YouTube videos – tried stretching and filling it with water… But I still ended up going to Walmart to buy the normal version.
So you’ll notice that I look like a complete greaseball during the actual tutorial portion from all my running around. lol
In any case, I hope you guys give this heatless curl method a try this summer! Have a beautiful weekend, I love you, guys! xx Tina
